The flooded street was created with membranes over concrete banks and a bridge, covered in ivy, straw, weeds and debris. A raft for the baby was made from branches and tonne bags were piled up to be used as a levy for the flood

To depict the aftermath, we laid flagstones for the pavements, dirtied them with soil, and dressed the street with scattered ground cover. Cars were covered in waste to appear washed up, with a membrane beneath allowing for water to be added later.

​For another shot, we positioned and filled an overturned car with rubble and branches. The same technique was used to dress the flooded garage with waste and ground cover, creating a weathered look.
