The film centred around an ancient oak tree, which was excavated throughout the show. Building on a prop make, Wainwright’s excavated the area and installed a custom stepped frame for the large tree cast to be placed in. We added to the prop make by installing real tree roots, before filling in the area with soil and turfing the ground to seamlessly blend the prepped area with its surroundings. This enabled the set to be excavated in action.
